Power went out last night, so we played board games by the fire. Power is back on but no school today, so everyone is making cinnamon rolls from scratch. Nom nom nom!

The main trunk of this old alder was probably forty feet - now it's forty rounds ready to be split and stacked.

Looks like we have firewood for next year!

A few weeks ago the weather finally burned away the snow in the mountains so we took a hike with our friends Ron and Patty Richter. This is near the far end of Lake 22. I wonder why they call it Lake 22.
